"The only effect that it had on me was that it tasted poorly," Trish Weiner told the Associated Press after she filed a lawsuit claiming the makers of Dannon yogurt overstated the health benefits of some products.
Weiner bought the products after she saw some advertising for its health benefits. Now she wants class-action status for her lawsuit -- and for Dannon to issue refunds to anyone in the states who bought the product. Her attorney told the AP that could amount to as much as $300 million.
Dannon said it stands by its research.
